History/Geography/Science Activities

  • Make a family tree – discuss
  • Draw a spring time picture – discuss
  • Make a list of indoor and outdoor sounds – discuss
  • Draw a night time and a day time picture – discuss
  • Interview a relative
  • Play 20 questions
  • Make a quiz on a topic you know about
  • Write a report on your favourite animal. You could include the following – name of animal/what the animal looks like/diet(what they eat)/home(where they live)/what they can do/an interesting fact or opinion.
  • Write out 5 facts about your favourite area of interest
  • Design a logo that represents you class/family
  • Do a project on a country of your choice
  • Plant some seeds and look after them.
  • Go on a mini beast hunt – look under rocks, logs. Draw a picture and label how many legs etc the insects you found have. Do not harm any insects on your quest.

PE Activities

  • Put on your favourite upbeat songs and do the following exercises for 30 seconds each: Squats/Jog on the spot/Sprints/Planks/ High knees/Push ups/Jumping Jacks/ Star jumps/Mountain climbers/Burpees
  • Go for a walk
  • Play hopscotch
  • Do laps of your house(if possible)

  • Skipping
  • Hop on one leg for as long as you can

Music Activities

  • Make a musical instrument e.g. rice/pasta in a plastic bottle
  • Listen to a piece of music (jazz/classical/ traditional etc.) and draw a picture in response to the music
  • Compose a rap
  • Clap the rhythm of a song as you listen to it
  • Research a famous composer – do a project on them – name, date of birth/death, country of origin, name of famous works, interesting facts about them, draw a portrait of the composer, listen to some of their music and respond to it by drawing a picture about what you felt when you were listening
