The army visit our school

On the 27th of January three soldiers visited our school in remembrance of 1916. The whole school gathered in the hall and we were greeted by  Lieutenant Shane Flood. We sang Oró se do bheatha bhaile, Grace and Síne Fianna Fáil and he asked us questions about the rising. They presented us with our National flag which will be hoisted outside the school and this will take place in every school in Ireland on the 15th of March at 12 noon.

Two girls from sixth class read out part of  the Proclamation and the school was presented with a copy of the proclamation.
